Chance Robinson was born and raised in Billings, Montana and is a 2013 graduate of Billings Central High School. From an early age, Chance has displayed a great appreciation and passion for art in its many manifestations including: ceramics, glass, textiles, and acrylics. In pursuing his passion for creativity, Chance spent his junior summer of high school studying art at Stanford University, where he was offered an internship with San Francisco-based artist, Julie Chang.
Following his time at Stanford, Chance accepted a scholarship to study at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In Chicago, he focused his studies into the development of alternate mark-making techniques.
With the encouragement of his family, Chance is pursuing his dream of becoming a professional artist. His love of Montana is seen in his work and is balanced with the unique perspective of extensive travel at a young age, experiencing the cultures of Nepal, England, France and Central America.
Dedicated to his community, Chance has also proudly donated numerous pieces raising over $175,000 for local charities and fundraisers in the Billings area.
